ConnectionOpen tackles one of the under-discussed problems in remote podcasting: latency. Even the best-sounding remote recording tools introduce hundreds of milliseconds of delay, which creates that distinct awkward beat between question and answer that listeners notice subconsciously.

ConnectionOpen routes uncompressed audio between connected machines with much lower latency than typical VoIP, which makes conversational interviews feel closer to in-person. It works as a DAW plugin or as a standalone Mac and Windows app, supports webcam video and screen sharing for visual collaboration, and records the session split into solo and session files automatically.

The pitch is conversation flow without robotised compression on remote contributors. Like LISTENTO, it's a transport layer rather than a complete recording tool — though the recording it does provide is more usable for podcasters than LISTENTO's.

Pricing has six tiers: Basic monthly at $15, Standard at $30, Pro at $90, with yearly options at $150, $300, and $900. Each tier includes a number of daily passes you can gift to guests.

For podcasters who care deeply about flow and have technical guests willing to install a tool, it's one of the few products solving this problem head-on. For casual interview shows where guests refuse to install anything, wrong fit.
