WHAT A BOARD DOES

Only what it does.

Paste it in

Copy an image, take a screenshot of a paused video, or copy an image link, and paste it onto the board. Upload or drag in files from your computer too.

Say why it is there

Add text and notes anywhere, and draw arrows between items with a label on them. A reference with a reason beside it explains itself.

Arrange it properly

Pan and zoom a free-form board. Group items, align and distribute them, crop and rotate images, and move things in layers.

Label and tag

Give items a colour label and tags, so a board of fifty references can still be read at a glance.

Four backgrounds

Dark for judging colour, cork for the studio wall, paper for a sketchbook, blueprint for planning.

Share or export

Turn on a view-only link that anyone can open without an account, and turn it off again. Or export the board as an image.

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps, then it is out of your head.

Make a board

One per project, per client or per scene. Name it and start pinning.

Pin what caught your eye

Paste screenshots and images, drop in files, then add the notes and arrows that say what matters.

Send the link

Share it view-only with a client, a crew or a tutor. They open it in a browser, no sign-up.

QUESTIONS

What is a moodboard?

A moodboard is a collection of images, colours and references arranged together to show what something should look and feel like before it is made: a film, a shoot, a brand, a room or a wedding.

What can I put on a board?

Images you upload, drag in or paste, screenshots, images from links, text, notes, and arrows between items. Items can have colour labels and tags, and you can group, align, crop and rotate them.

How do I get a frame from a video onto my board?

Pause the video on the frame, take a screenshot, and paste it onto the board with Cmd or Ctrl and V. Crop it to the part that matters.

Can people see my board without an account?

Yes. Turn on sharing and send the link. Anyone with it can view the board, pan and zoom. You can turn the link off again at any time.

Can we edit a board together?

Not at the same time. A board is yours to edit, and others see it through its share link.

Can I export a board?

Yes. Export the whole board as an image.

How much does Moodboard cost?

Moodboard is part of the Slice plan. New accounts can try it free with no card; the plan is $14.99 a month or $149 a year, and the same plan covers Shorts, Captions, Reframe and Podshare too. If your plan ends, your boards stay here for you to view and share.
