Wipster is one of the more established Frame.io alternatives, focused on the video review-and-approval workflow that has dominated post-production tooling for the last decade. The product handles version uploads, frame-accurate comments, side-by-side comparison, and approval routing. 2026 pricing puts Creator at $24/month for one user with 20GB of storage, Team at $49/month for three users with 100GB, and Pro at $150/month for 10 users with 500GB, with annual billing discounts. There's no free plan, which makes the on-ramp harder than free-tier Frame.io. The pitch versus Frame.io has historically been pricing and a more straightforward UX, particularly around external reviewers who don't need accounts to leave timecoded comments. Wipster also includes unlimited reviewers on every paid plan, which matters when you're sharing a cut with a client whose whole team will weigh in. For video podcasters specifically, the workflow is real. A four-camera multi-cam recording goes through edit, gets a draft cut, the host watches in Wipster and leaves comments at specific timestamps, the editor revises, and approval is logged before publish. Doing that in Google Drive or Dropbox is technically possible but miserable. Where Wipster is the wrong choice is at the very small end (one editor, one host, no client) where comments in a text message are sufficient, or at the enterprise end where Frame.io's Adobe integration and bigger ecosystem usually win.
