Questions
What video formats are supported?
This tool supports any video format your browser can play, including MP4, WebM, MOV, and AVI. MP4 (H.264) works best across all browsers. If your video doesn't load, try converting it to MP4 first.
What's the maximum video size?
Since everything runs in your browser with no uploads to servers, the limit depends on your device's memory. Most devices handle videos up to 500MB-1GB easily. For larger files, consider using a desktop application.
What resolution are the extracted frames?
Frames are extracted at the video's native resolution. A 4K video will give you 4K frames (3840x2160), a 1080p video gives 1920x1080 frames. The quality is identical to the source.
PNG vs JPG - which should I use?
PNG is lossless (no quality loss) and supports transparency, but files are larger. JPG is smaller but has slight compression artifacts. Use PNG for graphics, screenshots, or when quality is critical. Use JPG for photos or when file size matters.
How does the side-by-side comparison work?
Capture at least two frames, then click "Compare" to view them side by side. This is useful for comparing color grades, before/after shots, or finding the perfect frame between two options.
Is my video uploaded to any server?
No. Your video never leaves your device. All processing happens locally in your browser using HTML5 Canvas. This means it's completely private and works offline too.
