Blubrry has been around since the mid-2000s and built PowerPress, the most-used podcasting plugin for WordPress. The hosting product pairs with it the way you'd expect. IAB-certified analytics come standard, which is a real point in its favour. The dashboard, however, looks its age.

Blubrry is the host you pick when you already run WordPress and want PowerPress and your hosting from the same company. That bundle is its real moat. The audio side is functional, the support team has a reputation for actually answering rather than routing tickets into the void, and analytics are IAB-certified out of the box, which most hosts still gate behind their highest tier or sell as an add-on. For a WordPress-heavy publisher, that combination is hard to argue with. The downsides are mostly cosmetic and structural rather than functional. The dashboard looks like it was last meaningfully redesigned before phones became the primary device most podcasters check stats on, and the pricing model is storage-per-month rather than unlimited uploads, which feels antique next to Buzzsprout or Transistor. You can run out of storage in a way that genuinely doesn't happen on the modern flat-fee hosts. Monetisation tooling is competent but not the reason you'd choose Blubrry; if dynamic ad insertion and a built-in marketplace are the priority, Acast or Megaphone do that part better. For the WordPress crowd, the existing PowerPress users, and shows that just want IAB-certified analytics without paying a premium for them, it remains the natural answer despite the aesthetic complaints.
