Castos is a podcast host with two clear specialties: WordPress integration and private/internal podcast feeds. Pricing runs $19/month for Essentials, $49/month for Growth, $99/month for Pro, and $499/month and up for the Premium tier aimed at large organizations and corporate internal podcasts.

Annual billing gives two months free, every plan has a 14-day free trial, and migration from another host is free. The free Seriously Simple Podcasting WordPress plugin is genuinely one of the best in the category and is the main reason Castos punches above its weight for WordPress users.

Private feeds are the other differentiator. Essentials includes 100 private subscribers, Growth bumps to 250, and Pro to 500, with overages at $50 per 500 additional subscribers. You can either share a single global private feed URL or distribute unique per-listener feed URLs, manage access from the dashboard, and integrate with MemberPress or Zapier-connected membership platforms so access provisions and revokes automatically.

Growth, Pro, and Premium also include automatic YouTube republishing, which saves real time for video-podcast workflows. Castos also offers a paid production service that handles editing and show notes for an additional fee, useful for agencies or busy executives.

The trade-offs are pricing. Essentials at $19 is notably above Buzzsprout's entry tier, private subscriber overages can balloon quickly for a paid newsletter-style show that scales, and the production service is a separate line item.

For WordPress podcasts and internal/private corporate podcasts, Castos is the strongest pick. For a standard public-feed solo show, cheaper options exist.
