Doodle has been the go-to group scheduling tool for so long that 'doodle a meeting' is genuinely a verb in some circles. The core product is a poll where you propose time slots, share a link, and participants tick which times work, then you pick the slot with the most overlap. The free plan covers basic group polls, a booking page, and a sign-up sheet. Paid plans start around $6.95/month at the annual rate, scaling to $36/month for advanced administrative features at the top end. The monthly price is materially higher than the annual equivalent, the entry tier jumps to roughly $14.95/month month-to-month, which is more than double the annual rate. Pricing also varies by region. For podcast use, Doodle solves a specific problem: scheduling a recording session with multiple co-hosts, a panel discussion with three guests, or coordinating with a producer and editor across time zones. For those workflows, Doodle is the right shape. For booking one-on-one guest interviews, Calendly, Acuity, or Vimcal will be more polished, the one-to-many poll model is overkill when you just need a guest to pick a slot. The honest 2026 take is that Doodle is competing with itself, the brand recognition is enormous but the product hasn't materially evolved versus newer competitors, and even the redesigned interface still feels like it was built for the early-2010s. For group polls it remains the default; for everything else it's worth checking the alternatives.
