In depth

NVIDIA Broadcast is a free Windows utility that uses the AI cores in modern NVIDIA RTX GPUs to clean up audio and video in real time at the system level. RTX Voice — the original standalone tool — has effectively been absorbed into Broadcast, where it lives as the Noise Removal feature. For podcasters with a supported card, that means you can stick a noisy USB mic, a barking dog in the next room, and a clattering keyboard in the same recording environment, and Broadcast quietly strips out the noise before any recording app sees it. Because it runs as a virtual audio device, every other app on the system benefits: Riverside, Zoom, Audition, OBS all see clean audio coming in. The webcam side adds background blur and replacement, eye contact correction, and auto-framing without needing a green screen. The catch is hardware. You need at least an NVIDIA RTX 2060 GPU, and the highest-end features — Virtual Key Light and Studio Voice — require a GeForce RTX 4080, 4090, 5080, or 5090. Windows only. For PC podcasters with the right GPU already in place, Broadcast delivers a stunning amount of value for zero dollars and is probably the easiest noise-reduction win you can stack on top of an existing setup.
