Triton Digital publishes monthly Podcast Rankers ranking the top shows, publishers, and sales networks by weekly average downloads, certified under IAB Tech Lab Podcast Technical Measurement Guidelines. The data underlies a lot of trade press headlines and is the closest thing podcasting has to a standardized public chart. Reports are produced monthly per country or region, with the US Podcast Ranker the most-watched. The March 2026 release had iHeart Audience Network leading the top sales network rankings at 71.5M average weekly downloads, Audioboom in second at 16.3M, and Cumulus Podcast Network third at 3.6M. Individual show rankings the same month had "Stuff You Should Know" (iHeart) at #1, "Pod Save America" (Audioboom) at #2, and "The Dan Bongino Show" (Cumulus) at #3. Latin America and other regional rankers are also published monthly. Free to read at tritonrankers.com. Important caveats: only shows whose hosts participate in Triton's measurement service appear (so the chart isn't comprehensive), the methodology is download-based rather than listener-based (one human can generate many downloads), and YouTube viewership isn't counted. Use this as a directional read on the biggest shows and networks each month, not as a definitive ranking of all podcast popularity. The certification under IAB Tech Lab guidelines is what gives it legitimacy compared to self-reported download claims — every show in the chart has had its numbers measured through Triton's audited methodology.
