Questions

How do I make an Instagram Reel mockup?
Choose Reels, add your image or video, then type the username, caption, music and counts. The preview is the download: press Download PNG for a 1080x1920 image, or Download video to get the whole clip with the Reels interface on it.
Can I preview an Instagram post before posting it?
Yes. Pick Feed post for a 4:5 post with the header, buttons and caption under it, or Reels or Stories for full-screen vertical. Long captions are cut with "more" exactly where the app would cut them, so you can see what people read before they tap.
Can I make a TikTok or YouTube Shorts mockup too?
Yes. TikTok and Shorts each have their own layout: the side buttons, the username and caption, the sound line and the progress bar sit where each app draws them. Shorts has a light and a dark tab bar.
Can I download the mockup as a video?
Yes. If you add a video, Download video makes an MP4 of the whole clip with the mockup drawn on every frame, sound included, right in your browser. It works up to 3 minutes. Some browsers make it by playing the video through once, so it takes as long as the clip; a few can only write WebM.
Is the layout accurate?
The buttons, caption and bars are placed from the same measurements as our safe zone tools, which we checked against each app and its published guidance in October 2026. The icons are our own simple shapes rather than the apps’ logos, so it reads as a realistic preview, not a copy.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Your image or video never leaves your device. The mockup is drawn in your browser, and the share link only carries the text and numbers you typed.
Is there a watermark?
No. Downloads are clean, ready for a client deck, an approval email or your portfolio.
What a mockup is for

Client approvals

Show a client the post the way their audience will see it, with their handle, their caption and the buttons in place, before anything goes live.

Previews

Check that a caption reads well when it is cut at “more”, and that nothing important sits under the buttons. For the exact areas each app covers, use the Reels, TikTok and Shorts safe zone checkers.

Portfolios

Present your work in context. A frame in a real-looking feed says “this ran on Reels” faster than a caption can.

Where the layout comes from

Each app’s buttons, caption and bars are placed from the measurements behind our safe zone tools, re-checked in October 2026 (Instagram’s Repost button on Reels, YouTube’s June 2026 Shorts player). The icons are our own simple shapes, not the apps’ logos, and there is no verified badge.
