AI summaries and speaker diarization come on every plan. Pricing has two modes: pay-as-you-go at $10/hr with no subscription, or Premium at $5/hr plus a $22/user/mo platform fee that unlocks team collaboration, advanced AI analysis, and admin features.

Translation costs an additional per-minute fee at the same rate as transcription, which adds up if you're doing volume. Security and compliance are real strengths — SOC 2 Type II, AES-256 encryption, HIPAA-ready workflows — making Sonix viable for regulated industries (legal, healthcare, finance).

The honest issue is the math. If you're a solo creator transcribing one podcast a week, pay-as-you-go is more expensive than running Whisper through OpenAI directly, and you're paying for collaboration features you don't use.
