What Technology covers actually do

Black or near-black backgrounds, a wordmark, occasionally a single object. Acquired is green with a serif. Apple Events is a white apple on white. All-In lines up four small headshots rather than one large one. Dwarkesh is the name in white on black and nothing else.

At 55 pixels

Black backgrounds mean the cover sits inside the dark UI of a podcast app with no edge at all. It becomes floating type. That can look good, and it also means the whole burden of being identifiable falls on the letterforms.

27 of these 100 shows have a name longer than 25 characters. The average is 22.2. The longest is "Websites Made Simple: How to have a successful website design business", which is not a name that fits in a list row.
