What TV & Film covers actually do

The Rewatchables is mint green with the name in the middle. Watch What Crappens is blue. What Went Wrong is yellow. Pop Culture Happy Hour is a pattern. Where photography appears it is a cast shot, but the norm is a flat pastel field with type filling most of the square.

At 55 pixels

This works, and it works specifically because the type is set enormous. The genre has the second-longest names on Apple and gets away with it by setting three words huge and the rest tiny, which is the right instinct.

Counted, in today’s chart

40 of these 100 shows have a name longer than 25 characters. The average is 26.2. The longest is "Boring History For Sleep | Gentle Storytelling And Ambient Sounds (Official)", which is not a name that fits in a list row.

17 of them get by on two words or fewer. Those are the covers that can set their name large enough to read while scrolling.

The Ringer holds 10 of the 100 places. A publisher with that many shows in one chart is running a house style, so several of the covers you are placed against are variations of one another.
